Soraya Cornelius is a young teacher for chemistry, natural sciences and technics at grammar school. She served her apprenticeship at the Eberhard Karls University Tübingen and absolved her traineeship at the Grammar School of the Bildungszentrum Nord in Reutlingen. From autumn 2017 she teaches at the Albgymnasium in Hohenstein. At the national Science on Stage festival 2014 in Berlin she presented a project on the 'generation of energy from biogas'. At Science on Stage she commits herself as speaker at teacher trainings for chemistry teachers and as co-author of teaching material. Since 2016 she also represents Science on Stage Germany as 'ambassador' in Tübingen / Reutlingen, Baden-Württemberg.

 

 

What does being a teacher mean to you?

Of course I like to enthuse my students for my subjects and impart knowledge. But also important is the exchange with my students and learning from them is a crucial point to me when it comes to what excites me about my profession.
