Soraya Cornelius is a young teacher for chemistry, natural sciences and technics at grammar school. She served her apprenticeship at the Eberhard Karls University Tübingen and absolved her traineeship at the Grammar School of the Bildungszentrum Nord in Reutlingen and after that teached at the Albgymnasium in Hohenstein. From September 2018 she teaches at the Otto-Hahn-Gymnasium in Nagold. At the national Science on Stage festival 2014 in Berlin she presented a project on the 'generation of energy from biogas'. At Science on Stage she gave a teacher training for chemistry teachers and she was a co-author of the teaching material 'Alles im Grünen Bereich'. Since 2016 she also represents Science on Stage Germany as 'ambassador' in Tübingen / Reutlingen, Baden-Württemberg.



What does being a teacher mean to you?

Of course I like to enthuse my students for my subjects and impart knowledge. But also important is the exchange with my students and learning from them is a crucial point to me when it comes to what excites me about my profession.
